I'll just say this. If I had know that this place was vegan based broth, I never would have gone here. I'm so glad I had no idea, I would have missed out on one of the coolest and tastiest ramen experiences I've ever had. I was missing nothing at this meal. I got the creamy broth. My husband got the spicy miso. My kids had the shoyu. All of it was phenomenal. The karaage was so crispy, the fried gyoza were small but delicious. Also they make home made lemonade and it was excellent. Do yourself a favor and take a chance on this place. You won't regret it.

The Amber ramen is very delicious and especially the soup. It was a perfect flavor to the meal. The fried chicken was delicious just wish it was a little more crispy like in Japan. But overall the meal is wonderful and the ambiance is relaxing and gets busy really quickly. Services is also very good our waitress was really nice.

my new fav ramen spot in LA! it's a very tiny place but you can sit outside; we sat in the bar area and it felt cozy, not uncomfortable at all :) tried their spicy edamame and it was sooo good, i never get edamame anywhere but decided to try and i loved it the salmon sushi was also good i got the spicy quartz vegan and it was yummy, loved the broth it was creamy and had a good kick to it just wish they added more tofu in it since there wasn't a lot tbh the people working there are also very nice and patient even when it was pretty busy and late so overall, it was a lovely late night experience

First time at Rakkan. Tried the Amber ramen and the chicken bun. I think next time I'd skip the bun and pay for extra noodles in the ramen. The place is kind of small, but they have outdoor seating as well.

The best comfort meal for these cold nights is RAMEN! We tried a spot we've never been to before @rakkan_ramen and we were impressed. It was a bit of wait but anywhere in Little Tokyo you'll be waiting! *Their original noodles are high in calcium and low in calories, carb, fat, & sugar and they also offer vegetable & gluten free noodle options! *We ordered their Takoyaki, Spicy Garnet Vegan & Asian Spicy Ramen *I ordered their Vegan version of Spicy Garnet and I loved the broth! They give a generous amount of noodles and the toppings complemented everything! Takoyaki: Battered octopus, green onion, shredded seaweed, teriyaki sauce, mayonnaise, sesame seeds Spicy Garnet Vegan: Miso Sauce, Vegetable broth, sesame paste, spicy miso, grilled pork, black pepper, green onion, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg*. tried garlic with RAKKAN noodles Made with an original blend of spicy miso Asian Spicy Ramen: Salt Sauce + UMAMI Sauce: Essence of Dried Bonito and Dried Sardines Vegetable broth, grilled pork, onion, sesame seeds, garlic, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg. thai chill, cilantro, lemon served with RAKKAN noodies

The ramen is delicious here, with cute jewel themed names like Amber and Garnet. I think several reviews have already covered the broths here, so I'm here to tell you - don't sleep on the sides and appetizers. I would come back alone for the tofu avocado rice bowl on days I don't feel like soup. Portions are generous and people here are very friendly. The service was well run, prompt, helpful and always willing to go above and beyond. This place is worth a regular visit :). One of my favorite spots in Little Tokyo!

There seems to always be a wait at this ramen shop and I understand why! I am rating my ramen a 3.9/5 and the brussel sprouts a 4.5/5. The ramen I ordered was the shio ramen aka the pearl one, I was caught off guard by the chopped up raw onion in this one hence the lower score, however the egg and soup were very good! Perfectly creamy and cooked egg yolk. The brussel sprouts surprisingly stole the show and had this tasty white sauce, I think it was maybe ketchup/mayo? The shop is pretty small inside with around 5-6 tables, however, they do have outdoor seating as well.

My new favorite ramen place. I'm not big on ramen but I had to give this place a try. It highly recommended by friends so why not give it a try. It did not disappoint. Quick friendly service, clean and small enough to get the personal touch. When in the area stop by, you'll thank me later

Always my favorite go-to ramen spot in little Tokyo! I love the quartz and then adding in the chili. It isn't too spicy when you can control the spice level compared to the spicy quartz. I also typically get the karaage (fried chicken) and it comes out perfectly. It is so soft and tender! Service is a hit or miss because it can get packed and they miss your name. There aren't many tables inside either but they have an outdoor seating area. Overall 5/5 for food and 4/5 for service!

Ok not just "good for vegan broth" - the broth is GOOD period. Honestly when we walked up we realized it was vegan broth and got immediately disappointed that we didn't catch it before choosing this spot. Did not disappoint. Loved the broth and the ramen. You can skip the sides- the gyoza was piping hot but the sauce wasn't great and the gyoza itself wasn't memorable or different. The tuna sushi bites were very not good... I rarely do not finish my food but the tuna wasn't great and the rice was mushed together with no texture. Definitely come try the Ramen though.
